Cookie policy

What we store in your browser and why.

Document under legal review. Questions about cookies or your data: privacy@workpop.ch.

Essential cookies

They are needed for sign-in, security and language; without them the site does not work. We set them without asking for consent and never use them for advertising.

  • wp_access and wp_refresh – keep you signed in (HTTP-only cookies; they expire on their own, after 30 days at most)
  • NEXT_LOCALE – the language you use the site in (until you close the browser)
  • wp_verify_email – the email address you confirm when signing up (HTTP-only cookie, 24 hours at most)
  • wp_next – the page to return to after signing in (30 minutes at most; 24 hours after a sign-up)
  • wp-consent (browser storage, not a cookie) – your cookie choice
  • Other settings in browser storage: notices you have closed (language, app install) and the draft of the job you are writing

Workpop cookies for our campaigns

wp_attr remembers for 90 days which campaign or website brought you to us: utm parameters, the name of the referring website and the first page you visited, without your name or email. We set it without consent too. The click ID of an ad (for example gclid) is only added with your marketing consent. If you sign up or post a job, this information is stored with your account or the job, together with your answer to “How did you hear about us?”.

wp_evt (5 minutes at most, no personal data) passes an event such as “sign-up completed” to the next page, so it can be measured with the tools described below.

Analytics and marketing cookies (only with your consent)

We use these tools only if you accept them in the cookie banner. The provider decides how long their cookies last (up to 2 years). Google, Meta and Microsoft may process the data outside Switzerland, for example in the United States.

  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (Google), to understand how the site is used. Main cookies: _ga, _ga_*
  • Marketing: Google Ads (Google), to measure our ads and show relevant ads. Main cookies: _gcl_*
  • Marketing, if enabled: Meta Pixel (Meta, cookie _fbp) and Microsoft Advertising UET (Microsoft, cookies _uetsid and _uetvid)

Changing your choice

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

Without consent, these cookies are not stored, and Meta Pixel and Microsoft UET are not loaded. Google may still receive cookieless measurement signals from our pages (Google Consent Mode). If you withdraw consent, cookies already stored stay in your browser until you delete them, but we no longer use them.

You can also delete cookies and site data for workpop.ch in your browser settings. If you delete the essential cookies, you will need to sign in again.

Changes

If we change the cookies or tools we use, we will update this page and, if needed, ask for your consent again.
